Under the Shelter Desk,
Where Farewells Linger
The phone never stops ringing at Gangneung Animal Care Center.
Sun, rescued after losing a leg in a traffic accident, quietly watches the world from beneath the shelter desk.
Unable to find a family because of his disability, Sun watches the lives of others change around him — Balbari and her puppies, once guarding an empty house, are rescued, and Geomdol-i, an old dog separated from his grandmother, breaks into tears in the unfamiliar shelter before slowly beginning to trust again.
In a place where someone's farewell arrives every day,
Sun quietly watches the hearts that leave and the hearts that stay.
Will Sun, too, someday… walk beside someone again?

He lives beneath the desk in the animal shelter office, watching countless animals get adopted and leave while he stays behind. Perhaps because of his disability, no one has ever asked to adopt him.
